Gingivitis is a mild form of gum disease before it progresses to its severe form called periodontal disease. Whether or not it is mild, any form of gum disease is serious and should get immediate medical attention to prevent it from becoming severe and causing you complex dental conditions. If left untreated, gingivitis can lead to the loss of multiple teeth which would become sophisticated to treat using dental implants. Gingivitis can also lead to the shrinking of your gum and jaw tissue which can make it problematic to receive dental implants.
