There are some foods that are notorious for giving you bad breath. However, there are other foods that do the opposite, and will help give you good breath. If you go out of your way to eat the right foods, you are going to struggle less with bad breath. Here are some of the foods you want to make sure you eat regularly if you want bad breath to stay away.

Great Foods for Freshening Your Breath



Fresh vegetables are often great at keeping your breath fresh. Snack on carrots, celery, cucumbers, and greens whenever you can. They also help to keep your teeth and gums clean. Fresh fruits can help as well. Consider snacks of apples and pears when you get munchy, and let them clean your teeth as they sweeten your breath.

Chew on herbs if you need a quicker pick-me-up after a smelly lunch or dinner. You can chew up the parsley on the side of your plate if you want something that is going to quickly freshen your breath. You can also opt for mint if you want something with a little more flavor.

Don’t forget that you also need to make sure you keep your mouth clean. Great foods can only do so much. You need to brush twice daily, floss at least once, brush your tongue regularly, and see your dentist. These tips will combine into fresher breath now, and into the future, so long as you keep your mouth healthy along the way.
