Meet the Team
Patty attended Foothill College Dental School where she received her license as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). She has worked as a hygienist for over 20 years and been with Dr. Shiba’s dental office since 2007. She enjoys getting to know her patients and especially loves helping people improve their dental health and get back to living a healthy life.
Patty and her husband, Jeffrey, have been married for 36 years. She has a boundless passion for her local sports teams and enjoys cheering on the Warriors and Giants at games with her husband and friends. She has two adult daughters and although they have moved out-of-state, they remain very close.
Arlene is a registered dental assistant (RDA); she joined the team in May 2014 and has worked in the dental industry since 2000. She loves working with a team that is always willing to go the extra mile and treats each other and patients like family. Since starting here, Arlene has enjoyed learning new technologies and techniques to ensure she is providing quality and efficient dental care.
Outside of the practice, Arlene is an avid yogi and especially enjoys hot-yoga. She has three sons and loves volunteering with their Boy Scout troops. Her family’s favorite escape is the beach where they can all enjoy some relaxing time with one another.
Mary, Patient Coordinator
Mary has worked in the dental field for over 30 years, she started her career as a front desk coordinator in a one operatory practice. She has worked at Dr. Shiba’s office since 2012, where she’s loved getting to know the patients. She is the first face a patient will see when they walk into the office and patients soon come to realize that she is always smiling and ready to help. Mary not only ensures patient’s treatment and scheduling questions are answered but she also coordinates dental insurance plans to ensure patients are maximizing their benefits, saving them time and possibly money.
In Mary’s spare time, she enjoys attending country concerts, cooking, and gardening. Now that her two children are adults, Mary loves escaping to the central coast beaches with her two pups Peanut and Buttercup.
